Trenton Buckram holding awards in front of a backdrop

COPPERAS COVE – A pair of Bulldawgs were named among the top in the Fort Hood area in an entrepreneurship effort.

Lemonade Day of the Greater Fort Hood Area named Fairview/Jewell Elementary student Trenton Buckram its Youth Entrepreneurship of the Year and House Creek Elementary teacher Stefanie Seaver its Teacher of the Year.

Buckram, who just finished his fourth-grade year, also earned recognition through Trentman’s Lemonade Stand as the most profitable stand in the area. He was also recognized for the most charitable contribution, donating $650 to help in providing scholarships to Bulldawg Football Camp, Peanut Butter Bowl in Cove and Project Christmas.

“Trenton is one of many students in our community who embodies everything it means to be a Bulldawg,” said Superintendent Dr. Brent Hawkins. “To see him donate such a large portion of his revenue to ensure other students in Copperas Cove have the opportunities he has had shows how much he embodies the One Pack, One Purpose mentality. He is already an exceptional young man, and I look forward to seeing everything he accomplishes throughout the rest of his school career.”

Buckram’s recognition stems from inclusion of more advanced business practices, including a point-of-sale system, specials for customers at his stand and QR code-driven marketing to maintain relationships with his customers.

Seaver, a 1st-grade teacher at House Creek Elementary, marks the fourth consecutive year a Cove teacher has earned Lemonade Day’s top teacher spot. Seaver saw 26 1st-grade students register to take part in the entrepreneurial journey with Lemonade Day. This group, the Howlin’ Lemon Crew, included nine students who set up in front of the House Creek campus on Lemonade Day to run their stand.

Stefanie Seaver holding awards“To take a group of 1st-graders and guide them to more than $500 in revenue is a testament to Ms. Seaver’s hard work,” Dr. Hawkins said. “Many of our brightest entrepreneurs in the Lemonade Day program are our older elementary students, but Ms. Seaver has begun to take those efforts to some of our youngest Bulldawgs. I am proud of the work she has done and the difference she has made in each of these students.”

Since 2023, every winner of this award has come from CCISD. Alyson Sinclair, then at Martin Walker Elementary, won it first, followed by Williams/Ledger Elementary librarian Savannah Taylor who won it in both 2024 and 2025.

Lemonade Day is one of several advanced academic opportunities available to students in Cove, outlined on CCISD.com. In 2026, more than 15 stands were set up across the community on May 2nd to culminate the program with the hands-on operation of their stands.
