Cove Athletics and Copperas Cove High School are proud to announce that Lady Dawg Volleyball Player Senior Bridgette Simpson is one of 15 semifinalists nominated for Operation Homefront’s “Military Child of the Year” ® in the Coast Guard division.
Monday Lady Dawg Volleyball held its annual banquet. It was a night of celebration for all of the young ladies, coaches, parents, and community members. Chloe Tuiasosopo was awarded her Greater Texas Ford student athlete award from Killeen Ford along with being named to the THSCA Super Elite Volleyball team for 6A. Jolina Toala, Jacia Donaldson, and Taylor Steele were awarded the Lowery Legacy Scholarship. Finally, Allison Crawley, Ailene Rodarte, Bridgette Simpson, Sadie McKee, Maddie McPhail, Jaica Donaldson, and Jolina Toala were recognized as LDVB players who will receive their associates degrees from CTC this year.
The Bulldawgs competed at the 13-6A district tournament. Ten wrestlers qualified for regionals. Corbin Porter, Lillian Hoaglin, Haleigh Poser, VeraHathaway, and Evelyn Stack finished 2nd. David Hughes and Zariya Dikibo finished 3rd. Karina Lathan and Audri McIntosh finished 4th.
