October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Thank you, Ms. Garner, for creating this pink display to remind us we are Stronger Together in the fight against breast cancer. The ribbon is made from paper hands of our Crossroads students.

Crossroads Sewing & Crafts Club members, Colten Huddleston and Jordan Hennessee, prepare fabric for sewing a zipper bag and a trick or treat tote bag in preparation for Halloween.

Crossroads Sewing & Crafts Club member, Avery Waller shows her newest completed project - a reversible Halloween trick or treat tote bag.

Crossroads students Avery Waller and Antara Segura-Simms sort and organize patterns and fabric donated to Crossroads High School Sewing & Crafts Club. The club is always grateful for donated fabric, sewing supplies, polyfill, irons, ironing boards, sublimation blanks, yarn and knitting/crochet items, and other craft goods. Current and coming projects include leaning to make tote bags by making trick or treat bags, making potholders for Thanksgiving, sublimating ornaments and other small gift items for Christmas gifts, and as always, quilts for Project Linus and for themselves, and pillows. They LOVE making pillows. To donate please contact the Crossroads Office at 254-547-9164.

Mr. Brown challenged our Crossroads students to participate in our Plate Pinch Carry challenge. Students carried a weight plate around the course as far as they could. Once they put it down, then ran a lap around the rest of the lap and returned to where they left the plate. The student would pick up the plate and continue like this until they completed two rounds.

Students at Crossroads are enjoying the Butterfly Garden in the courtyard. Crossroads Garden Club has made a nice flower home for them to visit. Our little flying friends are so pretty this time of year.
